Harbor View Center for Antiques is not just an online antique cooperative. We have over 22,000 square feet of showroom space in Stamford, CT where the offerings of our dealers can be viewed. Since opening nearly six years ago, Harbor View has distinguished itself as one of the finest antique centers in the nation with over 75 international dealers exhibiting the highest quality antique furniture and many decorative accessories.
Expert Dealers & Vetted Merchandise
Our hand picked antique dealers are established professionals whose furnishings are thoroughly screened and vetted by our expert staff. What’s more, the vast majority of merchandise shown here is located on our showroom floor. This enables us to closely monitor our ever-changing inventory.
There are, however, some select items that are located exclusively within our dealers’ private inventories. In those cases, the dealer either exhibits at our center or has met our stringent requirements to become a showroom dealer. Please be assured that ALL dealers must honor our returns, vetting and mediation policies.
Return Policy
You may return the item for any reason within 3 days of receipt. Please see the returns policy for details. Should you experience problems thereafter, Harbor View will make every effort to ensure your satisfaction. Our staff and management, if necessary, will intervene on your behalf and mediate a reasonable resolution.
Nominal Commission
Whereas other sites charge between 6-20 percent commission, Harbor View charges its dealers a nominal 2-3 percent commission on each sale. We term this charge an “accounting fee,” because we provide our dealers check insurance, accountant and administrative services in addition to superior customer service for all internet inquires and sales*. This fee arrangement ensures that your cost is not inflated by exorbitant dealer charges.
Customer Service
Many other sites offer only email customer support. Our experienced staff of antiques enthusiasts is available by phone, or in person, 7 days a week. Our hours of operation are 10:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Saturday and 12 am-5 pm on Sunday.
